On the occasion of its 10th anniversary the RIS Center in Ruse welcomes visitors
10 Декември 2024
The Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company (BPI Co.) announces an open house at the River Information Center in Ruse on December 18, 2024, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the building construction. The first to have the opportunity to learn about the functioning of the River Information System (BULRIS) in the Bulgarian section of the Danube will be students from the Angel Kanchev University in Ruse and pupils from the Professional High School for River Shipbuilding and Navigation.
The BPI Co. manages river traffic along the Danube from the modern administrative building of the Bulgarian River Information System in Ruse. The BULRIS System provides an environment for the exchange of static and dynamic data related to the safe operation of shipmasters, the security of navigation, and environmental protection throughout the Bulgarian section of the Danube. The electronic navigation system enhances the efficiency of river transport, traffic management and informational services for navigation along Bulgaria's inland waterways. The systems provide real-time important information to shore-based services, as well as necessary data for the safe navigation of vessels.
Anyone wishing to immerse themselves in the working atmosphere of the RIS operators on duty and observe live river traffic management can do so from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on December 18, 2024, at 20A Pristanishtna Street, Ruse.
