The Director General of the Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company (BPI Co.) Ivaylo Ivanov took part in the 17th National Conference on Transport Infrastructure Future Roads: Innovate, Invest, Achieve Zero, which was held in the city of Plovdiv in the period 24-27 September 2024.

During the discussion panel Strategic Infrastructure through the Balkans and Bulgaria he presented the activity of the BPI Co., emphasizing its key role in the management, maintenance and modernization of strategic for the country port infrastructure.

Within the course of the four-day event, further discussions on current topics in the sector, presentations and meetings for exchanging of experience and good practices in the field of mobility and infrastructure were planned. Financial models focusing on road user charges and opportunities for financing transport infrastructure were explored. The event was planned to include experts and business organizations to present sustainable solutions on issues related to security and safety in the movement of goods and cargo.

During the forum, there was an exhibition of the leading innovative companies worldwide in road construction, suppliers of specialized software products, technical equipment, design and engineering companies. Innovative, green and forward-looking solutions for the future of mobility and infrastructure were presented.
