Bulgarian Port Infrastructure Company (BPI Co.) received yet another prestigious award in the "Building of the Year" competition – this time for the state-of-the-art spherical building of the Planetarium in Burgas. The special award in the "Social Infrastructure – Culture" category was presented to the Chairman of the Board of Directors – Mr. Ivaylo Ivanov. The Planetarium is situated at the Burgas Passenger Terminal at the Port Terminal Burgas East 1. The building brings together contemporary architecture and modern space for training and entertainment.

With the construction of the Planetarium – part of the PlanetUm (Planet Mind) Science Center, BPI Co., completed the overall concept of developing a single, complete urban educational centre in the Free-Access Area of the Port. This is the third award, received by BPI Co. in the prestigious national competition "Building of the Year". In 2016 the company was awarded the prize in the category "Urban Projects – Burgas Transport Infrastructure" for the reconstruction of Warehouse 1,  and in 2020 it got the award in the category "Projects, related to the development pf the city – urban environment and culture", for the construction of the Burgas Congress Centre.
