Curious visitors will be able to watch 2D and 3D real-time visualizations, with the help of cutting-edge equipment. To celebrate the International Children’s Day – 1 June, the Planetarium will offer all-day free admission to the young fans of galaxies, planets and constellations.
Situated at an attractive location in the Public Access Area of the Port Terminal Burgas East, near the Congress Center, the Planetarium attracts the attention with its unusual architectural design. The facility is a shining spherical metal structure, boasting a projection dome with an 8-meter diameter.
The modern building provides excellent accessibility for people with disabilities and allows for the organization of group visits, out of class lessons in geography, physics and astronomy for students from Burgas and the region. The secrets of the vast Cosmos can be observed by 50 people simultaneously.
By building the Planetarium, part of the PlanetUm Science Centre, BPI Co. completes its overall concept of developing a single urban educational centre, where children and parents will acquire new knowledge and skills through encounters with science. The new facility is expected to become a favourite site of both residents and guests of Burgas.
