Young explorers celebrated Children's Day at “PlanetUm“
01 Юни 2022
Children’s Science Centre “PlanetUm“ (Bulgarian: ПланетУм – Planet Mind) once again delighted young explorers with fun creative activities. On the occasion of June 1, children participated in exciting art workshops, engaging in painting with unconventional techniques and materials, for optical illusions and for soap fun, and the entrance was free-of-charge for all children throughout the day.
“PlanetUm“ Science Centre offers an engaging educational experience for residents and visitors of Burgas of all ages. By opening the doors of the science centre to young and old curious visitors, Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company made the Public Access Area of the Port of Burgas an even more popular spot on the map of the seaside city.
In “PlanetUm“, children and parents are able to have fun, while finding answers to complex questions and curious facts from the areas of exact sciences, such as astronomy, technology and underwater archaeology in an experimental environment. The great human journey through time is presented in three exhibition areas – “Energy”, “Discovery” and “Innovation”, where engineering and natural sciences become more attractive and understandable. The 20 educational installations aim at revealing to visitors the vast and interesting world of exact sciences, each of them carrying a distinct scientific content and will provoke both young and old to test their knowledge and skills. The topic of the environment and its protection also features prominently in the Science Centre. The “Science Workshop” at “PlanetUm“ provides the opportunity for outdoor lessons in physics, chemistry and various experiments. The youngest explorers can become captains of a submarine in an active play area that recreates a seabed with lots of fish and corals.
