Over 5 300 is the number of processed vessels and over 30 600 are the motor vehicles that have crossed the Danube in 2021 with the Silistra – Cаlаrasi Ferry Line, using the Ferry Terminal Silistra, operated by the Bulgarian Port Infrastructure Company.

The operations of the Silistra – Cаlаrasi Ferry Line were recommenced in March last year, after а 10-year interruption. Vessels, intended for transporting heavy-foods and passenger vehicles across the river land at the terminal. The Silistra – Cаlаrasi Ferry Line operates all year round.

The operation of the Ferry Terminal Silistra and the redirection of the traffic of heavy-goods vehicles through that location, have facilitated the heavy cargo traffic between Bulgaria and Romania. This has also ensured a cleaner environment for the city.
