BPI Co. awarded young poets on Danube Day

The Deputy Regional Governor of Ruse, Mr. Sinan Hebibov and the Deputy Mayor Mr. Encho Enchev awarded talented children, who took part in the “Danube and Ruse in my heart” poetry competition organized by Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company. The celebration of the International Danube Day took place on 29 June 2021, in front of the building of the River Information Services Centеr Ruse and was attended by the Deputy Regional Governor PhD Stefka Karakoleva, officials, young and old admirers of the river and representatives of the media.
The first award in the poetry competition was shared by the poems “Like a Lucky Charm“ and “I Love Ruse“ by the 9-year old Nisa Zengin from Kardzhali and Rayana Tsigularova from Ruse. “When the Sun Rises Over the Danube“ by Maxim Danailov (9 years old) from Ruse ranked second, and “Here in Ruse, by the River“ by Georgi Rashkov, aged 13, again from Ruse, ranked third.
The celebration of the exciting and inspiring river, involved many prizes and fun surprises for the young poets, as well as with exciting emotions, music and dances presented by the young members of the Children’s Vocal Group “Sun” at the Municipal Children’s Center of Culture and Art in Ruse and the Sports Dance Club “Good Mood”. BPI Co. had prepared gifts from all the children, who had found inspiration to dedicate a poem to the beautiful river and the city, also known as Little Vienna. The celebration was closed by the performance of the Municipal Brass Orchestra – Big Band Ruse.
