15 years of Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Co. – we reach our dreams both by sea and by river, because we turn them into goals

They say that dreams come true at Christmas. And especially the big dreams. Fifteen years ago a bold dream made its way into reality. A reality with a promising future, because it is based on solid foundations and unites people who are not afraid to set high goals and think outside the box.

This is how Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company was born. As a legal successor of the National Company ‘Ports’ and of part of the Executive Agency ‘Port Administration’. After the official court registration on December 29, 2005, Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Co. began to manage the entire territory (public state property) and all tangible fixed assets of the Bulgarian ports. A number of activities related to the construction and maintenance of port water areas, quay walls, breakwaters, canals, etc. whirled into a dizzy whirligig that became more and more widespread over time.

Christmas after Christmas passes, dreams have become even bigger and have already reached beyond infrastructure. Because the development of ports is not limited to the development of port infrastructure. Thus, quite naturally, the company has focused on shipping. Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Co. has built and started to operate some of the most modern traffic management systems both by sea and by river. Accordingly, Bulgaria has become one of the leading European countries in the digitalization of port services and vessel traffic management.

They say that dreams come true at Christmas. And especially the big dreams. 15 years later, the team of Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Co., scattered in the cities of Sofia, Varna, Burgas, Lom and Ruse, but united by a common mission, continues to dream. And to reach their dreams both by sea and by river. Because they know how to turn them into clear goals to pursue eagerly, even when the wind is not favorable, but contrary, and the water under the keel is not seven feet. And they are always a few goals ahead.
