The iconic building of the Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Co. Sailor's House adorns a photo exhibition of emblematic places in Varna. The exhibition See Varna with its picturesque photographs which the citizens of Varna and guests of the city enjoy, is arranged at the entrance of the Sea Garden to the Sundial.
The iconic building was built in 1979. Its construction was entrusted to the National Institute for Cultural Monuments, while observing the old Bulgarian traditions of building Revival houses. All materials used in its construction are natural. There are no concrete slabs in its construction, but wooden beams that allow natural air to circulate in the building. Maintenance of the Seafarer's House is specific. Wood, which is the main material, is treated every 7 years with special preservative varnishes that prevent it from being damaged.
Over the years, the Seafarer's House has welcomed guests from almost every continent, who were impressed by the unique coziness in the spirit of traditional Bulgarian hospitality, as well as by the unique copper plastic of the Kaliakra sailboat. Today, the picturesque building has become one of the symbols of Varna – a landmark that attracts the eye and arouses admiration among tourists.
