Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Co. organizes a specialized river exhibition in Ruse. The Danube city will become an attractive place for experts on water transport on May 21, 2019 (Tuesday). At the “River show” event, the results of DBS Gateway Region international projects will be presented. The exhibition will be arranged on the ship “Ruschuk”, pontoon No. 10, Port of Ruse.

The international project with Bulgarian participation focuses public attention on the problems of the Danube River. Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Germany, Ukraine and Moldova are joining forces to reach a common goal: the Danube – Black Sea region to become a “gateway” linking Central Europe and the Black Sea with the Caspian region and the Far East. With the successful completion of the project, concrete proposals will be made for future infrastructure projects that will make a tangible contribution to the development and modernization of water transport.

The realization of project Regional and Transport Development in the Danube-Black Sea Region towards a Transnational Multiport Gateway Region /DBS Gateway Region/ aims at removing barriers to the development of water transport: creating a more competitive and sustainable transport system, better business environment and attracting new business partners and cargo from and to the Danube and Black Sea region. BPI Co. is actively involved in the project co-funded under the Transnational Cooperation Programme “Danube 2014-2020“. Leading partner is the Regional Government of Lower Austria.
