VTMIS Coastal Centre of BPI Co. in Burgas adorns postcard of the European Commission

You go on an excursion or on business in the capital of Europe – Brussels, you decide to buy a reminiscence postcard and immersing yourself in the colourful fairy tale of beautiful images arranged on the stands of the European institutions, you get to a sea photo of Bulgaria. The vessel traffic management and information coastal centre of Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Co. in Burgas is rising from it with all its brilliance. The pictorial photography was awarded in the European Commission competition “Europe in my region”.

Besides it, two more photographs “written” with Bulgarian handwriting, were selected in the competition for March 2019 for photoes of successfully impemented international projects. These are the VTMIS Coastal Centre of BPI Co. in Varna and the metro startion of Sofia Airport. Collected together, they will adorn another EC postcard and will be distributed both printed and online.

VTMIS Coastal Centre in Burgas was opened on 8 August 2015 and has similar functions to the one in Varna. It is located at the Burgas-East port terminal near the Burgas port Passenger Termnial. The two Coastal Centres maintain a constant exchange of inofrmation and have the technological capability each of them to assume the functions of the other if necessary. The VTMIS Centre is built within the framework of the project “Vessel Traffic Management and Information System - VTMIS” under Operational Programme “Transport 2007-2013”.
