Developing water transport to favour the users under RIS COMEX Project

How to respond to the dynamic development of river information services and how to improve Danube navigation to favour the users – answers to these questions were addressed by port operators, vessels users, logistic partners and authorized authorities during a workshop on RIS COMEX project.
The workshop organized by Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Co. was held on 24.10.2017 in Ruse. The Project Manager Mr. Valentin Hristov and PIU experts presented the main tasks and objectives to be fulfilled by the end of 2020. During the subsequent discussion, emphasis was placed on improving the currently provided services.
RIS COMEX Project with beneficiary BPI Co. for Bulgaria is funded under the Connecting Europe facility and aims at the introduction and sustainable operation of river information services at the Corridor level, following the results of the study within the CoRISMa project.
The implementation of the project will lead to better planning of inland waterway transport, reduction of inland navigation and reduction of administrative barriers.
