Delegation from European Parliament's Committee on Transport and Tourism visited port of Burgas

The Director General of Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company Mr. Anguel Zabourtov and the Director of Branch-Territorial Directorate Port of Burgas to BPI Co. Mr. Ivailo Ivanov met at the port of Burgas on September 19, 2017 the official delegation of the European Parliament's Committee on Transport and Tourism. The guests visited the VTMIS Coastal Centre where they learned about the functionalities of the vessel traffic management and information system developed by BPI Co. which has been operating for the 3rd successive year.
Then the MEPs Wim Van De Camp, Marian-Jean Marinescu, Christine Revault d’Allones Bonnefoy, Lucy Anderson, Peter Kouroumbashev, Andrey Novakov had the opportunity to examine the modern terminal Burgas East – 2 with concessionaire BMF Port Burgas EAD. The multipurpose terminal successfully handles and stores general, bulk and liquid cargo, as well as containers.
The representatives of the European Parliament’s Committee on Transport and Tourism were fascinated by the port of Burgas and expressed the wish to visit it again.
