The symbol of the Bulgarian sailing – the sailing vessel Kaliakra also this year is a real jewel of the international sailing regatta Cor Caroli. The contested race was held in the period 12-15 August 2017, and the sporting event was hosted by Yacht Club Cap. Georgi Gerogiev – Port Varna.

With the assistance of the Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company, the beautiful sailing vessel set off from Varna to Burgas on August 12th, and the following morning it went out to the open sea with the official guests of the prestigious sailing competition on board, who became involved in giving the start signal in the race and boats departure. Kaliakra then headed for St. Vlas, where the crew of the barquentine surprised the guests and the participants in the regatta with an attractive light show. On August 14th the sailing vessel was the starting ship for the second race of the regatta, and after the participants set out, the sailing ship headed for Varna to announce the start of the last race.

The culmination of the evening will be a night sailing with the sailing vessel in the bay of the city under the light of the stars and the glamour of the festive fireworks on the occasion of the Day of Varna.
