Mr Anguel Zabourtov, Director General of Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company familiarized Mr Keshavarzian, Deputy Minister of Road and Urban Development of Islamic Republic of Iran with the port facilities which should serve the transport corridor Persian Gulf - Black Sea in Burgas and Varna.

The visit of the two seaside cities on 13-15 September is part of the official visit of Mr. Keshavarzian in the course of preparing the draft of the Multilateral Agreement on the establishment of the international corridor.

During his stay in Bulgaria, he met with the Minister of Transport, Information Technologies and Communications Mr. Ivaylo Moskovski, Deputy Minister Mr. Valery Borissov and the Chief Secretary of the Ministry Mr. Ivan Markov.

The two sides agreed to prepare a meeting on issues related to maritime transport and ports in mid-December in Teheran.

Transport link will pass through the territories of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece and Iran. This will provide good conditions for carrying out the haulage between the Middle East and the Balkans. The project will allow for servicing of transit traffic to Europe.
