Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company presented the project for implementation of Integrated Information System

Today, 27.07.2016, in Grand Hotel Sofia was held the introductory press conference on the project Design and Implementation of Integrated Information System (IIS) for planning and management of resources in Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company. The project is funded with EU funds from the European Regional Development Fund and the state budget of the Republic of Bulgaria through the Operational Programme on Transport and Transport Infrastructure 2014-2020 and Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company (BPIC) is a beneficiary. The Director General of BPIC, Mr. Anguel Zabourtov noted that for BPIC the last few years have been marked by the information technologies. First were successfully implemented the projects VTMIS Vessel Traffic Management and Information System, BULRIS Implementation of River Information System in the Bulgarian stretch of the River Danube and GIS Geographic Information System. Under completion is the implementation on the project Monitoring and Information System for Black Sea and now is the turn of the integrated information system for planning and management of recourses in Bulgarian Ports Infrastructure Company. Mr. Zabourtov added that the company already has ideas for other port management projects that intend to implement.
After the opening words of Mr. Zabourtov, Ms. Anna Michneva-Natova, Director of “Project Management” Directorate in BPIC and Project Manager, briefed the journalists and guests of the press conference, including experts from public institutions with the objectives and expected results of its execution, and Mr. Dimitar Gerov, Manager of STEMO Ltd, presented the company that will carry out the project activities – IT company with 25 years of experience, one of the largest on the Bulgarian market.
The deadline for implementation of the project according to Contract for Grant is 14.10.2018.
